The Bay Area region is home to hundreds of projects and organizations working on community-based climate solutions. When done right, grassroots community organizing leads to individuals getting to know each other, food grown, un-gentrified neighborhoods, and empowering emerging leaders. It can also potentially lead neighbors breaking their bonds with trust each other and frustrated community leaders.

My work experience includes:

• Co-produced Building Resilient Communities Convergence for four years
• Co-organized a series of Garden Work Days with hundreds of volunteers, in collaboration with urban gardens and farms around the East Bay
• Founded and directed a grassroots organization for six years, with interns, volunteers and staff
• Co-designed a series of capacity building workshops for grassroots organizers
